In February 2005 the Internet Caucus set up its first State of the Net Conference. This year, on Feb 8th, 2006, a
second similar conference took place to discuss vital issues affecting the growth and safeguarding of the Internet community.
The
Congressional Internet Caucus is made up of more than 175 United States Senators and Representatives. Since its inception in 1997, the Congressional Internet Caucus and its Advisory Committee have tackled pressing issues affecting the sustained growth and adoption of the Internet. On Wednesday, February 8, the Caucus will host its second annual State of the Net Conference in Washington DC. (
